Our Story
Established in 2024, Funky Monkies Freeze Dried Treats was born out of a passion for creating unique and delicious specialty freeze-dried food products.
Funky Monkies Freeze Dried Treats is a 100% Veteran owned and operated home-based business. Our founder started by freeze drying his own treats and food for family, friends and for his own emergency preparedness. And before he knew it, he had started a small business making delicious, freeze-dried treats and freeze-dried food products.

About Freeze Dried food
What Is Freeze Drying?
Freeze drying is a safe chemical free process which involves freezing and vacuum pressure. The process removes the water from the product and at the same time leaves all the vitamins and nutrients in the product. This process produces an all-natural, healthy, great tasting crunchy snack alternative.
One unique snack product is our freeze-dried ice cream. After the freeze-drying process the ice cream doesn't need to be frozen, it can be stored in your snack pantry for many years in only our sealed mylar bag.
Most properly stored Freeze Dried food can be stored up to 25 years, compared to Military MRE’s which can be stored only 5 years or home canned goods which only last 2 years.
