Funky Monkies Healthy Fruit Snacks, Sweet TREATS and More.... are created and packaged in a professionally controlled environment to ensure quality control. We offer a couple different packages depending on your use intensions. Unless you specify differently at the time of your order, the Mylar bag will be used for your product.  

All Freeze Dried foods need to be kept in a sealed bag away from moisture or humidity. If the bag is left open, within a few hours the humidity in the air will start to rehydrate the food product. While this doesn't cause harm to the product it will cause the product to lose its crispness. 

The brown-colored Kraft window bags can be used for short term use up to 2 months. The Kraft bag has a window to see the contents, but the bag is thinner and will leak air over a few months causing the product to lose its crispness. 

The silver-colored Mylar bags are used for long term storage and use, from 2 months up to 25 years. The Mylar bag is thicker and is heat sealed to create an airtight seal to ensure the products crispness until the package is opened.

Both bags have a safe oxygen absorber packet included in the bag to absorb any oxygen in the bag after its heat sealed. Discard the O2 package after the package is opened.
